Need 4 Speed Auto Repair & AC (“we”, “us”) is an independent auto repair shop at 840 Kastrin Street Suite B, El Paso, TX 79907. For text messaging we go by Need 4 Speed Auto. This policy explains what information we collect from customers, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Contact details you give us when you book, call, or check in: your name, phone number, email address (optional) and, on the check-in form, your address.
  • Vehicle details: year, make, model, license plate and mileage, and the concern you describe to us.
  • Your signed check-in record: the authorization you sign at the counter, stored with the exact terms you agreed to, the time you signed, and the device and network address used to sign, so the record can be verified later.
  • Text-message consent: whether you ticked the optional text-message box, when, on which form, and the wording you agreed to.

How we use it

  • To schedule, confirm and carry out your service, and to contact you about it.
  • To keep the service and warranty history for your vehicle.
  • To send the notifications described below, only where you have agreed to them.

Text messages (SMS)

If you tick the optional text-message box on our online booking form, our digital check-in form, or our printed check-in form, Need 4 Speed Auto will send you text messages about your vehicle — for example, a message that your vehicle is ready for pickup. The box you tick reads:

I agree to receive text messages from Need 4 Speed Auto about my vehicle, for example when it is ready for pickup. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.
  • Message frequency varies. Typically one message per service visit, sent when your vehicle is ready, plus a reminder if you ask us to send it again.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s standard rates apply to messages you receive from us.
  • To stop: reply STOP to any message and you will not receive further texts from us. For help: reply HELP or call 915-307-8431.
  • Texting is optional. Choosing not to receive texts does not affect your service in any way — we will email or call you instead.
  • No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Who else sees your information

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We use service providers to run the shop’s systems — a messaging provider to deliver text messages, an email provider to deliver emails, and a hosting and database provider to store records — and they process your information only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim, such as a warranty dispute.

How long we keep it

Service and warranty records, including your signed check-in record and your text-message consent history, are kept for as long as we need them to honor our warranty and meet our legal obligations. Opt-out records are kept so that we continue to honor your choice.

  • Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts.
